Foundations of Divine Alchemy
There are two foundational elements to your Divine Alchemy Program.
1. Ensuring that our basic needs are met and that we are caring for our Selves.
Before we can do spiritual and energetic work, we must first ensure that our basic needs are met, and that we are paying attention to our Selves. Without these foundational elements, you will find it difficult to sustainably engage in the Inner Work this program calls on you to do, because you will not be able to focus and be fully present with this Work. In this week’s package, I have included two graphics that illustrate the importance of meeting our basic needs as well as six vital components of Self-Care.
The Wheel of Self-Care offers a framework for caring for all parts of your Self. When looking at this diagram, reflect on the areas in which you already spend time caring for your Self, and the areas where you find it challenging to engage in Self-Care. Your Divine Alchemy work will include the development of a Self-Love Ritual, so this piece is built into the program.
For more on why it is so important to meet our basic needs if we want to expand spiritually and energetically, check out this article. Only you can ensure that your basic needs are being met! Read through this article and consider whether you are meeting your basic needs every day, and if not, how you can build this into your routine to ensure that you are taking care of your Self. Start with one step at a time – plan meals that will make your body feel good and that are simple. Set an alarm to remind you to drink a glass of water five times a day. Commit to getting enough sleep. Start small, and work in additional pieces one at a time.
If this Work does not come naturally, it can be difficult to incorporate these Practices into your life. But you will find that as you implement a Self-Care Ritual and work on meeting your basic needs, other parts of your life will start to fall into place.
You deserve to be taken care of, and who better to do this Work than your Self?
2. Developing our ability to live with gentle awareness in the present moment.
These Foundational Practices will help you to cultivate Embodied Presence in your daily life. Your Presence Practices are the foundation to all that we will do together over the coming twelve weeks. While it takes practice to master this Work, the payoff to living within your own body is immense, and it is the first step toward reclaiming your Personal Power.
You should work with your Presence Practices first thing after waking up in the morning, as well as throughout your day. Begin with Practice One and Practice Two, and do these each day for three days. On the fourth day, start to include Practice Three as well.
Over time, you will find that you are Present for more of your life than ever before. And this is the first step toward living with Embodied Presence in all aspects of your life! Along with this PDF, you will receive audio recordings to guide you through the Presence Practices until you are comfortable working with them on your own.
